Terminator Casting News

The new Terminator sequel, Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, has some new casting information up. Anton Yelchin is in negotiations to star as post-apocalyptic warrior Kyle Reese. Yelchin would play a teen version of Reese. For those who don't know, Reese is the man who fathered John Connor in the original Terminator film.
The new Terminator will pick up with Christian Bale, fighting desperately to save civilization against machines. It's unclear if the father and child reunion is going to happen in the new movie.
Interesting stuff. Stay tuned for more.

Bad Robot already wants a piece of Let the Right One In

Recently Bloody-Disgusting reported that J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot, his company, are pining for the remake rights to Swedish vampire film Let the Right One In...before it has even been released! I would hope the company behind the surprisingly tense and effective Cloverfield would deliver something better than the assembly-line remakes every other production company is making, but alas, they're ready to steal ideas from foreign films for mainstream success too. All I know is the original looks great; count me out if this "remake" goes through.

First Wolfman Images

Entertainment Weekly has released the first images of Benecio del Toro as the titular character of Universal's Wolfman remake, accompanying an interview with special effects legend Rick Baker. While production photos are always pretty cheesy, it's nice to see someone sticking with old-fashioned makeup effects these days and I have a feeling these photos aren't giving the best view of the creature. More info coming!

Lost Boys 2: The Tribe
A trailer has been released for the upcoming sequel to the classic 80s vampire movie Lost Boys. Specific plot details outside of those given in the trailer are still a bit sketchy, but the film will apparently revolve around two boys who move to a shady California town- only to find it firmly in the grip of a local gang of vampires. When Chris Emerson's (Tad Hilgenbrink) sister falls in love with one, he and a ragtag group of other boys must blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda before she completely falls to the dark side.
